This bold, oversized buckle is a striking example of traditional Western silversmithing by Ben Jarnagin, a skilled engraver known for large-format, hand-worked silver pieces made in the spirit of classic rodeo and cowboy art.
Crafted in solid sterling silver, the buckle features dense, hand-engraved Southwestern pictograph motifs across the entire surface—each symbol individually chiseled rather than machine stamped. At the center sits a pair of natural turquoise stones, framed by raised silver detailing that adds depth, weight, and presence.
Measuring approximately 6” x 3.5”, this buckle was designed as a true statement piece—more sculpture than accessory. The silver is heavy gauge, the engraving is meticulous, and the overall construction reflects a level of craftsmanship rarely seen in modern Western buckles.
Signed “Ben Jarnagin” on the reverse, this piece is ideal for collectors of Western Americana, rodeo history, and hand-engraved silverwork.
